Un Apologetic

Un Apologetic

I’m unapologetic for the things I was born with
for the bad luck and trouble that persist
truthfully it made me better may I insist
had to change my life, this writing is a helpful assist
vague resemblance of a writer exists
it’s powerful how i can control words with just a flick of my wrist
I’m unapologetic for this book’s cover
they never told u it’s not good to judge others?
tired of nay sayers, haters, and blood suckers
u don’t appeal to me, you’re not real to me because it’s your life that suffers
my life is a clutter
but I’m finally straightening things up, where’s my swiffer duster
I’m unapologetic for my addiction to beautiful faces
and it’s true I love all races
because honestly I look for the angel that traces
I consume their auras just to get wasted
but nervous to approach them like they were sacred
with so many heavenly creatures I’m faded
I’m unapologetic for being elevated
how 420 is so regularly celebrated
ok maybe that’s a little exaggerated
I might be considered a pothead but I’m well educated
those euphoric buds really have me infatuated
got tired of people trying to school me, so I graduated
the person I’ve become is poetic
a little pathetic but u have to respect it
I am who I am, I’m unapologetic

“a full time thinker, philosopher and author about the nature of life and reality” – Welcome to a new friend: James Need

‘The Commonsense Philosopher’

Hello, my name is James, and I am a full time thinker, philosopher and author about the nature of life and reality, and who we really are.

Ever since I was a young boy I have always been deeply fascinated in wanting to understand life and who we really are at the deepest level. I have always wanted to answer the big questions and mysteries in life, and through my writing, I am very excited to share with you what I have found whilst in search for those answers.

In my blog I will cover a whole range of topics, from;
– the true nature of life…
– the true nature of who we really are and why we are here…
– the true nature of reality and how we create it…
– simple ways to raise our vibration and improve the way we feel…
– how to get into harmony with your wants and desires…
– and information and help about how to start taking control of what you create and attract into your life on a day to day basis…

My intention with my blog is to always keep my thoughts, insights and pointers to that that is beyond words, as simple and as direct to the point as possible.

I hope you enjoy following my blog :) . Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or jus generally want a chat. You an also join my free weekly email service by clicking on the blue link below;

Love and joy to all…

via About James | ‘The Commonsense Philosopher’.

Be easy on yourself…

Be easy on yourself…

You don’t need to ‘figure out’ your entire life right now…

You don’t need to ‘sort’ everything out and make decisions on how things are going to be…

You just have to relax into this moment…

You just have to let go internally…

Let go of the need to evaluate and analyse your life…

Let go of the need to judge yourself, life and others…

Just accept and surrender to this moment as it is…

No matter how much you resist it, this moment already is…

Then, as you continue to practice surrender in your daily life it will start to merge into your natural state of being, your natural state of mind, and then, you will find as Jesus beautifully described ‘‘the peace that passes all understanding’’.

You don’t need to figure anything out…

Just relax…

Just be here now…

The essence of this book is to help you understand life, reality, who you really are, and why you are here, at a much deeper level. So as a result you can start to access much higher states of mind and improve the quality of your life experience, and so you can start to become a powerful creator of your own reality. This book will really help you to see that you have grown up in a society that is profoundly disconnected from life, and it is this disconnection from life and who we really are, that is causing all problems on a collective and individual level.
This book is about helping you to find a much higher state of mind so you feel much more at home inside yourself and the world. In other words; no longer will the way you feel be dependent on other people, situations or events, and no longer will your mind be run by a false sense of self that keeps you constantly evaluating, judging, predicting and incessantly thinking about the past and future. Your mind will feel much more at peace in the present moment, you will start to access your true power and inner freedom, and you will start to become much more in control of what you create and attract into your experience.
This book is written in a very ‘hands on’ style that is very simple and direct to the point. And it not only gives people simple techniques to improve the quality of their life experience, but it also helps people to implement them into their daily life.
Once you have read this book you will have an overall understanding of the true nature of life and who you really are, and the true nature of reality and how you are creating it. You will have at your disposal a whole range of very simple techniques that will drastically improve the quality of your life experience, and that will allow you to start to blossom into a powerful creator of your own reality. Remember life is fundamentally an internal journey, not an external journey, and this book is going to point you towards that inner path…

‘The Truth about Life and Who You Really Are’ is currently available for immediate ebook download via Amazon and the ibookstore for iphones and ipads. As well as via many other ebooks outlets such as sony, barnes and noble, baker and taylor, copia, scribd, gardners, and kobo. ‘The Truth about Life and Who You Really Are’ will also available in print form within the next 6-9 months.

Books about to be launched very soon…

The following are a small range of books about to be launched very soon within the next couple of months. I am extremely excited for them as I believe they can really help people in many different areas of their life. They are very simple and very direct to the point. The titles are as follows;

‘How to get into Harmony with Your Desires’

‘Portals in Oneness’

‘Practicing Oneness’

‘The Secret is Here and Now’

‘What is Enlightenment?’

Love and joy to all…

Start Gaining Momentum — Welcome to a new friend – Ludvig Sunstrom

Step up!

This blog is about:

Striving for excellence through means of healthy living, philosophy and by learning through first-hand experience.

A recurring theme of the blog is to become smarter, stronger, healthier as well as improving one’s understanding and intelligence. Basically becoming better and improving in all areas of life by focusing on doing positive things every day because it adds up cumulatively in the long-term.  Another recurring theme is deciphering what success is and the mindsets of people who are successful in different areas of life. Consistently exercising willpower, focus, and building work ethic are big topics too.

About me:

I’m young guy who’s interested in self-development, personal excellence and living a spectacular life. Through this blog I convey different mindsets and paradigms that I find interesting and helpful in order to make personal progress. I believe there are universal principles and laws that govern success in all areas of life and I am intrigued by these.

In a lot of posts I have excerpts from material, mostly books, that I found inspiring or cool.

It is my hope and intention that this blog helps inspire and shorten the learning curve for readers with interests similar to mine.

Here are a few creeds that I try to model my life after:

  • Experiment with things for a set amount of time before quitting and analyze the results afterwards.
  • Challenge yourself and expand your comfort zone continually.
  • Trust in the process and enjoy the journey you’ve chosen to undertake.
  • Be your own guru, think for yourself instead of regurgitating other people’s opinions and thoughts. Learn through first-hand experiences and by trial and error, not by reading or listening to what other people tell you.
  • Pit conflicting paradigms against each other and go through cognitive dissonance until you find a synthesis.

I write on average at least one post per week.

Hey, I am Ludvig!

My blog, StartGainingMomentum is where I share insights, rants, and interesting information related to personal development and stepping up.

Power returns to the person when rewards are no longer relegated to outside forces.

Make a Lasting Decision

lasting decisions

Positive feedback loop of the PFC:

(Note that this positive feedback loop is accurate for almost anything related to reference experiences and creating an upward spiral, but in this case the PFC is the dominant object.)

To make a lasting decision is an excellent everyday tool for activating the PFC and holding your focus on something for a sustained amount of time.

It starts with the decision to do something no matter what. It does not much matter what it is that you choose as long as you stick to it. The important thing is to make it very clear to your brain that this is a serious commitment.

This thing is going to be accomplished come hell or high water – there is no plan B or quitting. Once you have made the decision you are past the point of no return and must do everything within your power to make it happen.

Some Examples

You might decide to finish reading a book before allowing yourself to go to bed, writing a set amount of words for your paper before allowing yourself to quit, or abstaining from food for an entire day.

Let’s say you make the lasting decision of abstaining from food for a day. It’s going to be easy for the first part of the day and you will have no trouble remaining focused on following through on the decision. Then during the second part you will face massive negative feedback from your body and mind telling you to quit and give into its urges. The (hormonal) urges feel so real that you begin to doubt your abilities to make it through.

Logically you know that if you choose to eat something it is going to hurt your integrity and you will suffer in the long-term. This is the decisive moment in which your mettle is tested. Will you be overcome by your urges for instant gratification and perhaps fall into unconscious autopilot, or will you persevere through it and build integrity?

Such is the daily process of personal development.

The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me [compared to normal people] is I’m not afraid to die on a treadmill.

I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there’s two things: You’re getting off first, or I’m going to die. It’s really that simple, right?
You’re not going to out-work me. It’s such a simple, basic concept. The guy who is willing to hustle the most is going to be the guy that just gets that loose ball. The majority of people who aren’t getting the places they want or aren’t achieving the things that they want in this business aren’t working hard enough.

It is strictly based on hustle. It’s strictly based on being out-worked; it’s strictly based on missing crucial opportunities. I say all the time if you stay ready, you ain’t gotta get ready.

IF Part 3 – My Take on Caffeine, Bulletproof Coffee, and Longer Periods of Fasting

In the previous parts 1 & 2 I covered the most popularly used types of IFing, and described the various benefits of doing so. This post is about my own brief commentary on IF and personal input on the subject.

My Routine

My personal IF routine that isn’t officially made famous as far as I know of – is as follows:

– Very much like the Leangains approach in terms of getting more calories from carbs on days of workouts, and more calories from healthy fats on rest days. I consume on average 2g of protein per kilo of bodyweight, as mentioned here. (This amount can vary from person to person, different people have different genetic potential for successful assimilation of protein. Largely dependent on overall gut-related health. If you get gassy or bloated from your protein powder or from eating too much protein in general chances are you’re getting too much)

– Daily feeding gap of 8 hours and fasting period for 16 hours, with the exception of a 2-day fast (usually 48h) from sunday dinner to tuesday dinner, finished by a workout and massive meal. I always consume the majority of my calories post-workout.

– During this 2 day fast I usually consume L-glutamin, and sometimes coconut oil. Not because I can’t manage otherwise, but because they are good for promoting gut health, something I’ve had issues with due to candida. Intense exercise following a 48 hour fast is not something most “gurus” promote, but I have found that this 2 day fast is vastly superior to the normal IF that I did for roughly a year prior to coming up with my own method.

– My morning routine usually consists of L-glutamin, and perhaps coconut oil, followed by coffee or tea as I read/work/go to the gym.

On Leangains & Caffeine

I agree with most things Martin Berkhan says, but not with  his positive recommendation of consuming or overconsumption of caffeine as it breaks down magnesium which helps you relax. Caffeine also stimulates the pituitary gland and increases cortisol, and lowers melatonin that you need for sleep and relaxation.  Long-term consumption MAY lead to overstimulating your adrenal glands.

Two Days of Cartoonification – How to Cartoon Yourself (or Myself or Whatever)

July 10, 2013

How I Cartooned myself, by Don Charisma

I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, finally managed to find the right time and space to get it done. And this is what I came up with :

don charisma logo_cropped_small

I didn’t like all of the aspects of the original photo, never really considered myself particularly “photogenic” and really loved the idea of a cartoon like image of me. For my blog and my ever growing number of accounts where a profile avatar is optional, but needed really, it’s what I really wanted.

I don’t know any graphic designers or cartoonists, and wouldn’t know how to explain what I wanted even if I did…

So, in my searching around on Google looking for a “quick fix”, that is an app or a website that would do it for me for free, I found an unusual bunch of waste of time sites that could make my photo look, well crappy really, with what looked like worms growing out of my face, why would anyone want that ? I have to say that I can’t recommend any of these cartoonify for free sites, they just don’t do what I want and didn’t really like the look much of the examples on the paid sites.

This process went on for some time, I’ve looked and looked over the months, must be years by now – well not looking for websites, I don’t sit at my PC 24/7 looking for cartoonify sites, I do have a life as well.

So I thought maybe I can do it myself, I have Photoshop and at least half a brain. Some more Google searches later and I stumbled across FallenDesignsUK video tutorial on YouTube. From what I understand Stephen Bradbury the videographer is a graphics design student and only 17. I was amazed at what I saw in his video, it changed things from being a nigh on impossible task to within the realms of possibility. Very impressed and amazed with what he showed me is possible and actually not that difficult.

His “Photoshop Cartoon Effect Tutorial #1″ is here –

You can also find other examples of his work (images not videos) here –

Needless to say not much point in me giving you the full tutorial, Stephen has done a splendid job in his videos, highly recommended and worthwhile you watch if you want to do this yourself.

So here’s some words of wisdom about bits that were challenging whilst doing my cartoon the FallenDesignsUK way.

Discover The Science of Living Your Dreams

The Truth You Always Knew is a book about finding enlightenment, unlocking your true potential and living the life of your dreams.

You can expect to find it in a book store near you by Fall of 2013.

I’m happy to share some ideas and passages with you all on this blog, and hopefully we’ll start some insightful conversation along the way.

I never thought I would write a book. These ideas just came to me and wouldn’t go away.

The book was begging to be let out, and so I set it free.

My one hope is that this book can inspire positive change, so that people wake up, and begin to consciously live their lives.

This book is my Life’s greatest creation, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Multitasking Is Impossible: Focus Deeply On The Task At Hand

Several studies have repeatedly proven that multitasking is impossible.

Your brain can only truly focus on one thing at a time. And so it’s monumentally important that you direct all of your energy and concentration on the task at hand.

When you’re doing your work, be in the moment fully, and soon, it’ll no longer feel like work.

To do great work, you need great focus.

You need to muster all the energy in your brain and laser beam it all towards that one, single task.

Ignore all the noise and the distractions around you and really start to dig in.

Embody it. Own it. Want it.

And soon, you’ll find that your work will become enjoyable. It’ll become fun.

You’ll feel powerful. Like you’re in control.

No longer at affect, but imposing you’re ways.

You’ll become commander in chief.

And your work will become whatever you want it to.

Everything will be going as you wish, and it will all feel effortless.

And after a few days, when you’re taking a little break from creating your masterpiece, you’ll suddenly realize that after years of slaving over your work, staying in the moment has made the work become a slave, to you.

Your work and your life will start obeying their master’s every command.

You can have it all, right now.

It just takes a sickening, locked in focus.

Go get it.

Hey Sweetheart We Get Rewrites

The most shocking truth behind life.

June 29, 2013

The greatest achievement you can have is yourself. You soul and happiness. We all have a destiny, a destiny to live and die. To achieve greatness within ourselves, to share our love and wisdom. We are who we are, because we choose to be. You must first laugh and smile, and hold those close to you. Then allow yourself to be free from any worry, any pain and any stress.

You’ll never truly understand what you can achieve in the world, but if you truly put your heart in to it, you can achieve anything you like. Conquer the world, tell that girl you love her, move away, explore! Make an impact on the world!

As I sit here, I watch people who don’t want to achieve anything. People who are lost, and even with guidance refuse to open their eyes to the world. If I could tell them one word, that word would be “aspire”.

I realized that my heart was in the wrong place, that I wasn’t achieving what I could. So destiny changed my life, I changed my life. I’m now helping others, helping them to succeed in life and to make sure they can achieve whatever they like. It’s what I was born for, I was born for a purpose.

Handing down your legacy….

by Kenneth Justice

~What will your legacy be?

That is something I’ve been thinking about for some time. Ever since my father died in 2008 I’ve been pondering the meaning of what it is to leave a legacy.

How do you want people to remember you?

One Love: The Very Best of Bob Marley & The Wa...

One Love: The Very Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I’ve recently watched quite a few documentaries on Bob Marley and a picture has been forming in my mind about the man; he wanted to be remembered by,

–> the love he had for his family and friends

–> the passion he had for music

–> his commitment toward the freedom and equality of all people

–> and his  love for Africa

I’ve talked quite a bit about the fast paced nature of life here in Western Culture because I believe it is this fast food frenzy paced way of life that leaves many of us feeling a tad bit overwhelmed.

Perhaps you are thinking; “Kenneth, you want me to think about life legacy today? I barely have enough time each day to brush my teeth and put on clean clothes!”

Unfortunately, many people are in that same boat; they are so busy, so conflicted with day-to-day responsibilities, and so overwhelmed with merely keeping their head above water that they are thankful to put their head on a pillow at the end of the day and breathe a sigh of relief that they made it through the day alive.

I don’t have any simple solutions…..

I realize life is fast paced……but is that really what we want to leave as our legacy, is that how we want our children to remember us; “my mother was  overwhelmed”

In my days as a college student studying counseling I was taught to help people learn that they can be happier if they slow down their life…..

You can’t control traffic….but you can change how you react to it

Welcome to a new friend: Billie A. Zahir aka “The Eye” | Being perfectly imperfect is a great person to be

My muse inspired herself to take the day off.

Fellow lovers of words, I was wondering if you could come to my aid. I’ve noticed the subjects of my offering are not as varied as I would like.

Since today is my day to write, I would like to try something a little bit different.

If you could be so kind to give me a topic that I could play with, I will give you my thanks and credit for providing me with the inspiration.

If you decide you could help out, I thank you in advance.

via Billie A. Zahir aka “The Eye” | Being perfectly imperfect is a great person to be.

Writing is more than a hobby. Writing is not my job. Writing is a process. Writing starts with a spark of a thought that can trigger an emotion, memory, or opinion when it finally is out there in black and white. In the past I have kept all this hidden. Now I am ready to show me to the world. My essence, I hope, you will see in the words I put before you and realize no matter how much we are different we are similar at least in being perfectly imperfect.

What I Live For

I live for

Four in the morning fresh air

air that fills my lungs every time I breathe

breathe in and out so I can stop my sobs that show my despair

despair over the past

past that they said could not last but I swear

swear at the pain I have inside that goes on and on

on untill  I rest and shows its ugly face again in a nightmare

nightmare is living in limbo of being given a second chance

chance  to find a way to tell myself and the past me to beware

beware of those that lie and say you are not good

good was a grading that you, in fact, exceeded but your lot in life was unfair

unfair to endure the pain and have to wait and hurt while you pray for the gain

gain of understanding and being surrounded by those who comfort you when you despair

despair that you did not earn but given

given means you can throw it away I swear

swear you will as soon as you can, trust yourself of the future

future will be better and you will still live for

Four in the morning fresh air.

– – Today I’m taking part in ‘What I Live For’, an online event organised by author Satya Robyn. People like me all over the world will be sharing what gives their lives meaning. In Satya Robyn’s novel ‘Thaw’, Ruth gives herself three months to decide whether she can find a reason to carry on living.
