My name is Gabriel Lucatero, a writer. I used to think of me as ‘a horror/mystery writer’ but I’ve come to realize that my job isn’t to label myself; eventually, someone else will come and put a name to what I write and toss it into any genre she/he pleases.
Nowadays, and thanks to a motivational page I have on Facebook, I want to think that I am a writer who will, through my fictional work, somehow motivate people to follow their dreams. Whatever they might be. Sometimes people need a little dose of inspiration to be moved towards their goals.
I have many story ideas in my head, and all of them have to do with ‘reaching’ something in life. Something bigger than ourselves. And I want my work, metaphorically speaking, to be the bridge for those people who are looking for that something that would inspire them. Something they will be remembered by when the day to depart from this world comes.
I warn you, though, that my work can be a bit disturbing, sometimes, for those who dislike profanity. But, the thing is, that when I write, my hand doesn’t argue with my brain when the words are being transferred to the paper.
Although Spanish is my first language, I write in English. Why? I don’t know, maybe because I want to do something different. I just know that one day I woke up and had that idea; and when an idea strikes me, I am too stubborn to give up on it. I have to follow it.
From now on, I’m going to be posting excerpts of my work to the world as well as motivational letters, an occasional advice, or even something interesting I want to share with my readers. Furthermore, and as an appreciative gesture towards those kind human beings who day by day wait for my excerpts, I’d take the liberty to re-blog what they post, without asking for permission; I know you’d appreciate it.
Without further ado, I invite you to click on the titles on your right, under Recent Post and Archives. Read my posts and let me know what you think about them.
Thanks for stopping by.
What is NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programing):
Ok, here is the meaning:
(Neuro) the human nervous system, including the brain and the five senses.
(Linguistic) the verbal & non-verbal languages with which we communicate.

Hey there! How are you?
Thanks for coming back.
Yesterday I mention (briefly) about NLP. Well, this is something really interesting I want you to pay close attention to, because it is gonna change the way you think about your goals and dreams. Let’s be honest, we sometimes hesitate and think that what we do doesn’t make sense or it isn’t important enough. Once you start doubting yourself, everything can go downhill fast and success will just be a illusion, instead of a reality in your life.
So, what do you have to do BEFORE you start learning NLP?
1-One of the key NLP questions is ‘What do you want?’. The human nervous system can be thought of as goal-seeking, and you tend to get what you focus on. Well-formed outcomes are an important tool for ensuring that you get more of what you want in your life.
2. Get the attention of the unconscious mind (Rapport)
“The map is not the territory.” You must start where the person you wish to influence is (the ‘Present State’.) Rapport is the process of getting the attention and trust of the unconscious mind.
3. Know whether you’re getting what you want (Sensory Acuity)
Once you know where you want to go, you need to be able to notice (using one or more senses) whether or not you are going there. Sensory acuity refers to the ability to notice the signs that you are moving in the right direction (or otherwise.)
4. Adjust what you’re doing accordingly (Behavioural Flexibility)
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.” When you notice that you are not getting what you want, you need the flexibility to change what you are doing in order to get a different result. “Intelligence is the ability to have a fixed goal and be flexible about how you achieve it.”
